This is a themed contest. Our theme, as you may have guessed, is phobias. You will be writing a short peice about a phobia, or phobic person. You NEED NOT be phobic or know a phobic person to enter.

DEADLINE: September 18th!!

RULES
1. Try to keep it below 1500 words.
2. No extremely graphic sex/violence.
3. Write what phobia you picked, preferrably from: http://www.phobialist.com/#A- next to your entry, in the FORM OF A WIKI PAGE!
4. Swearing is okay, but not too much.
5. No fan-fiction.
6. You may use satire or wit. Thank you [Sae]!

2004-08-03 [-Shadow-Nell-]: I'm not an expert, but maybe you could try starting out with a light, funny story, about a phobia, perhaps, to get you on the general track. Say...Arachibutyrophobia? (fear of penutbutter sticking to the roof of your mouth) Then you could try serious. I don't know, just a suggetion.

2004-08-24 [Sae]: Um, another thing: is it absolutely necessary to write the name of the phobia right off the bat? I think it would be better at the end of everyone's story, in large letters. Phobias are a sort of rare writing topic, and it might be that the story would be more interesting if the person didn't know exactly what's up until the end...
